Foreigner Visit

Dr. Richard Drust, Esteemed President, Emeritus of Baldwin Wallace University, Cleveland, Ohio, USA along with Ms. Jodi Tims, Prof. of Computer Science in the same university arrived at Chandigarh to interact with the students and teachers of various schools under their program to provide opportunities to the Indian students to study in USA in this university. Baldwin Wallace seeks to prepare students to contribute as compassionate members of global society through its academic programs in liberal Arts and Sciences. And prepares him to adapt to new situations, meet the challenges ahead with the help of internship, Off-Campus Study, Faculty/Student Research and Co-Curricular Activities. There is greater interaction between the Professors and the Fellow Students due to small class sizes. Students are involved in a way that they learned, help in learning others and contribute the community. The International Student Services Office (ISS) helps the International Students to adjust to the campus communities. They host programs and events, advice and counsel and provide academic supports and health services.

Situated in the Industrial Town of Cleveland, Ohio, the university which was founded in 1845 as Baldwin Wallace College is ranked among the America’s best colleges by various top agencies including Forbes’ Top Colleges and US News & World Report. It has enrollment of more than 3500 undergraduates and 700 graduates in more than 60 programs of studies. The university offers Bachelor’s Degree in Arts, Science, Science in Education, Science in Nursing, Music, Music Education and Master Degrees in Arts in Education and Business Administration.  Top majors include business, Compute Science, Sciences, Music and Psychology. There are programs of special interest in the University including Software Engineering, Sustainability, Neuroscience, Music Theatre, Dual Degree Program and International MBA. The students from various countries including Brazil, China, Vietnam and India are getting education from B.W. University.
The campus is surrounded by Cleveland Airport, NASSA, Cleveland Metro Parks, Clinic, and Varied ethnic communities. For the development of the students there are more than 100 student organizations.
Addressing the students at Shivalik Public School, Mohali. The President Dr. Richard Drust invited the prospective students who aspire to study abroad to B.W. University. He said that B.W. is renowned for its quality education and nurturing values and culture among the students. He told that more than 90% students of B.W. University find employment or enter into graduate school of their choice for higher studies. He called upon the students to visit USA to experience a new culture, expend their knowledge and develop their skills. For admission to B.W. University in UG Courses, he informed the students that average grade points of three of higher on four point grading scale alongwith TOEFL(79 iBT)/IELTS (6.5) is required. Applications are to be submitted by 1st March for the fall semester which begins in August and by 1st October for spring semester which begins in January.
He said for whatever reason you come to study in USA at B.W. University, they will find welcoming and supportive community to help them to achieve their goal. He also offered special concession and scholarship for the students willing to join B.W. University.
He said that the university seeks to expend its horizon and intends to build new connections especially within India. He cited the case of signing of MoU with Gandhi Memorial National College, Ambala Cantt and Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Yamunanagar which allows the students of final year of these colleges to obtain MBA Degree from this University. Several scholarships are offered to the students under this program. He announced that G.M.N. College, Ambala Cantt will act as Nodal Agency to provide information and maintain liaison with B.W. University.
Earlier on reaching Chandigarh, Sh. Randeep Singh Jauhar, President of G.M.N. College and Chairman of B.W. Program, G.M.N. College, Ambala Cantt, Dr. V.K. Jain, Associate Professor and Coordinator, Mr. Kanwar Sandhu, CEO, Day & Night News Channel and Ms. B. Sandhu, Event Manger welcomed Dr. Richard Drust and Ms. Jodi Tims.
Ms. Jodi Tims of B.W. University addressed the students of various schools at Ludhiana and discussed the purpose of the visit and offered them to join for various courses at B.W. University. Similar meetings were addressed at Ambala and Yamunanagar.
